First post for me too! Happy new year! I've got photos of the fireworks that happened at midnight, but haven't uploaded them as yet. It was great...some of them were coming from the park right across the road from our flat! Awesome

Where was everyone at for New Years? I'm in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm just scanning my film now - mostly shots of the Space Needle exploding in fireworks at midnight. Oh, and there's one shot of my birthday cake coming up too. But all in all, it was a pretty mellow New Year.

I was camping at a water ski lodge for the new year, the live band was pretty ordinary and I was tucked up in bed by 1am only to be woken at about 3.30am by a manage a trois in the tent next door. Painful, hilarious and memorable.
Here's a shot I took on new years eve of the kids spinning their glow sticks, trust me the photo was a lot more entertaining.

My man and I had plans, but they fell through. We haven't had new years off together (our jobs always had us working) and we couldn't think of anything to do so our thought was "let's just drive somewhere, stop, and celebrate. We brought layers and layers of clothes, a blanket, a cooler with a bottle of champagne and some glasses, and my camera. We drove till there wasn't (as much) light pollution, and pulled off the highway. I snapped these:

Happy New Year to everyone, I just had a simple gathering with my family and friends. We enjoyed some fireworks, good food and wines. Simple and fun celebration of new year with family and friends was really worth remembering.
