Flash Reflection

I recently purchased the fish eye lens for my iphone 5.  I mounted one of the silver sticky circles and made sure to not cover the mic or flash on the back.  Here is my problem, whenever I take a photo (without the attached lens) and I need to use flash I get an aweful light blur from the reflection off the silver piece.  It covers almost 1/4 of the photo which is not cool.  Has anyone else had this problem and come up with a fix?  I was thinking of trying to color in the silver ring with a black sharpie thinking that will reduce the reflection, but before I go do that I wanted to see if anyone else knows of a solution.  Please help, if I can't fix this I am going to have to take the ring off and give up on these lenses sad

Thanks superdewa, I will do that.  I was hoping that someone else had this issue and knew of a fix.
