Kodak Video camera

This week my Kodak Zi6 arrived. It came with charged up batteries (2 AA rechargeables) but no SD/HC memory chip. Despite having ordered one on line I went out to buy one yesterday so I could put my new camera into action.

Bingo!

It's raining here in Brooklyn, NY

I'll bet the ranch that there must be another person here that has a Kodak video camera?

What editing program are you using?

Do you have a aux. lens for it ?

I own and use the Zi6, it's an amazing little piece of equipment. I use Adobe Premiere for editing. I also like using Pinnacle. Never heard of the AUx. Lens.

I have a Kodak Zi6 video camera, and since they updated the firmware to accept memory cards >1 GB the camera freezes and you have to remove the batteries to reboot it. It just records a few minutes then the screen freezes. I can see over a dozen complaints about it online but Kodak hasn't issued a fix for it yet, and doesn't seem as they are going to. I used the Kodak chat help line and they weren't aware of the problem despite there being multiple mentions of it in their complaint forum. They told me I had to format the disks in the camera and I did. That had no effect. The last record time was eleven minutes before the camera froze. Best Buy and Geek Squad was aware of the problem but said Kodak hasn't issued a fix and that the the older version of the firmware isn't available anymore. Best Buy recommended I get a Zip camera if I am going to upgrade to a new camera and avoid the Kodak series.
