Poisonous, definitely poisonous! It's one of the first things kids learn in preschool here, red mushrooms with white spots are very very bad for you. wink Of course it doesn't help that there's a whole array of pretty brown mushrooms that can kill you just as quickly, but at least knowing that 'muchomory' (which, incidentally, means 'fly-killers') are poisonous makes children aware that not all mushrooms are safe to eat.

About that mushroom, Rodia, that's cool, we call them Fliegenpilze (Fl y mushrooms). And they're poisonous, though they are not as bad as some of the others you can find in the woods around where I live... My dad used to teach mycology at the technical university here, and go on autumn mushroom searches with his students. Lots of fun.

Sweet idea...here's my Red...during my nephew's gradtion, the school's colors are red and black so I used the color accent on my camera to just play up the red on the football field...

Rodia,  yes that's the Santa that was removed from the top of the Candy Shoppe on Santa Claus Lane near Summerland and moved down to Ventura, next to the 101 Freeway.
