Ghetto Scanning

Hi!

Has anyone here had a go at ghetto scanning negatives?

Tutorial can be found on Lomography site  - http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tips … h-a-window

I had a go earlier using some negatives from a new camera - the Blackbird, fly. It exposes around the sprocket holes, so my 35mm negative scanner is no good (it only scans the centre, and not the sprocket holes).

Let me know what you think - and if you have any useful tips I'd be pleased to here them!

My photos can be found here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/cjmphotos/

My set up was slightly different to the setup in the tutorial. I used a clear glass sandwich photo frame with a piece of diffusion gel (similar to tracing paper) in the middle, and a desk lamp behind for illumination.

Look forward to hearing from you!
