On my way home from Yankton the sun popped out and the storm clouds were spectacular. I did this five shot pano hand held. The sun was behind me, almost set. Click on image for larger view.

kdrake~ Thanks. That shot wasn't cropped and it was very close. The barn is about 100ft from the front porch where I was standing. I didn't see the actual bolt just the flash but I smelled it and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. It wasn't until later when I was reveiwing my shots I found this one. I'm glad I was sitting down because my knees got weak.

i love this thread. i love storm and i don't get a lot here in san francisco. thanks all for sharing.

dromond - i really like the intesity in your post on the side of the building. i love the warmth under the clouds.
superdewa - i really like the contrast of the snow against the red barn. it's beautiful.
dweidl - thats crazy. nice capture.

Jamercede & Great Beyond, those are both spectacular.Storms over water make for some beautiful landscapes.

obijuan --- This really makes me think about watching storms as kid. Did you have the head overlap the window frame piece intentionally? I'm not sure if it's better or worse that way.
