Vista and pictures ??? Rights and Permission

I have never had an issue with XP, now with Vista, If I upload my pictures on one profile, when we try to view from another profile we get a No permision to view image. The strange part is not all pictures are affected. Before you ask, The pictures are all in the public folders.

Any thoughts how I can get rid of this problem?

Switch back to XP? I used vista for an hour and decided that I wouldn't be "upgrading" any time soon.
Yes, I know, that's not much help wink

I'm not totally sure about permissions in vista, but if it's anything like XP, try this:
Select the folder that all of your photos are in, and right click --> properties.
Go into the sharing and security tab and you'll see a list of users at the top, and permissions at the bottom.
Find "everyone" in the list, and set the "Full Control" permission to "allow"
click OK, and you'll see a progress box as windows resets the permissions on the files in that folder.

hope this helps.

I hazard to guess there are some NTFS file permissions causing your headache.

See:

and

Best of luck,
