I'm a pretty new photographer just shooting with a 50mm lens.Heres mine if this counts as bokeh. After I took this photo the frog freaked out and hopped at me...I screamed like a girl and fell over....but if a man screams like a girl and no one is around to hear it...does he really scream?  A lot of really great shots here everybody, love them.

Lately, I've been trying to emulate the legendary Minolta 135 STF in a wide angle lens.  That lens (now made by Sony) uses some exotic optical tricks to basically apply a Gaussian blur to out of focus areas and smooth the transition between focused and de-focused planes.  My project lens is a Miranda 24mm f2.8 Macro with a home made apodizing filter in place of the iris.  The filter could be more aggressive, but things are softening nicely.

Hayleigh, I really like that chandelier. It's an interesting subject with a beautiful glow, and you can tell what it is even in the blur. I think it's common, in the beginning with bokeh, to shoot just for the sake of bokeh, and forget about finding an interesting subject matter and/or about composition. The third photo in your dandelion set is nicely composed, too.

Brendon, the bokeh itself there is really pretty.
