Dumb question about a camera?

I have a dumb question on a camera I just aquired.  It is an old Voightlander Vitoret DR.  I cannot seem to find a battery compartment.  Is this camera battery free or what?

Wonder Twin Powers activate! Form of Camerapedia!

http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Voigt … er_Vitoret

Well, it doesn't mention a battery at all - but it does have a exposure meter and a hotshoe flash, implying that  there's some kind of power involved. If the shutter trips and the film advances, I'd throw a cheap roll in there and give it a spin. Worse that happens is that you're out 5 bucks.

***edit***
Whoops - it's a cold shoe, not a hot shoe. Sounds like it's a fully manual, non-powered camera!

Thanks guys.  I bought it on Ebay for next to nothing.  Am going to take it with me to Kansas City today and see what kind of pics I can get with it.  I like the old fashioned pictures sometimes so it should be cool for taking pictures of all the fountains KC has.

dacom, come say hi!  I live just south of KC - and yes we do have wonderful fountains!  Waterfire is this Saturday night, if you'll still be here, on the Plaza.  Very cool photo op!
