Thanks, superd! I wish I could see the tree from different angles, but it is in the middle of the farmer's fenced field. You caught me on the smudges--I did not do a very good job of getting rid of the smudges on the image. Duh, you are right , cropping would help some. I did a drive by shot here without taking much time to really plan out the shot. Perhaps I will go back and do it again in less of a hurry. I was more focused on doing a B&W and not thinking of other aspects of the image. I do appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

I wonder whether the farmer would let you go on his land to shoot it? It's a gorgeous tree. I will sometimes trespass, just a little, to get a nature shot.

Lovely image, stayinspired-dani! Superd, it's not just a matter of trespassing. The farmer's field is on a narrow road with absolutely no place to park and has a relative amount of traffic. But, I won't give up--I'll go back.

What better subject for a B&W than a black and white horse!? This is Double Impact, better known affectionately as Harvey. He is a leopard POA (Pony of Americas). Notice the 3D spots? This was My granddaughter's first horse. She started riding him when she was five--she's now 15. Harvey is 19. He's on stall rest--I should say, "stall restlessness"--right now with an injury sustained while on loan to a so-called friend. Unfortunately, the injury could be the end of him. Xrays will probably give us that answer. It would be a very sad outcome, especially for my grandkids.

Well it's been an epic long time since I posted on here, but on the plus side; think of all the new photos I can share with you? I've been having a blast. I was lucky enough to go to Bali not so long ago and took a few out there, to name but one of the many photographical frivolities I've been immersed in. So here's a monochrome I really like at the moment I took of this amazing lady in Bali. Her whole face and posture screams character, history and experience. Hope you like it?
