I was contacted a couple weeks ago by an editor from the Korean version of NYLON Magazine (http://www.nylonmedia.co.kr/). He asked to do a feature on my photos. Despite being busy, I said yes, and pulled everything together, and I am really excited to see the results. The photos will be in the March edition, which hits Korean newsstands on February 18. I will be getting a copy in the mail. I don't know it the Korean version of the magazine is available in the US, but if you happen to pass an international newsstand or be in the vicinity of a Korean nieghborhood, please look!

(If you do see the magazine, I might be interested in asking you to mail me a few copies (I'd pay you back, of course), as I live in the sticks and certainly won't find copies here. Send me an e-mail to ask, just in case I found them another way.)

Thanks, Tufteach! I needed a boost -- I have actually been feeling rather bored with my photography lately. I need a project of some sort.

Hmmm, I've got a couple of likely stores in Chinatown. Perhaps I can find something for you there. I'll go nose around when I'm down there next time.

First time on the photojojo, might aswel do it here and try and make an impression!
At 17 years old I landed a job photographing for Ireland's largest promoters, still working for them now and then.

There's a tv channel here in Irish called 'TG4' it's a channel that has all programmes through Irish on it. I won the first of 3 Summer photography competitions aged 17.

I was in my first photo exhibit at 17, had 3 pieces in it, it was so cool to see people stop and smile at my work!

I was the head entertainment photographer at Ireland's second largest festival the Rose of Tralee International Festival aged 18, I had first photographed for them as a backup entertainment photographer aged 17.

Last year I won 'Best Live Photographs' at the Irish Youth Music Awards, aged 18.

I'm now 19, focusing more on school work this year as it is my final year in secondary school (high school), hopefully I will get into this awesome art based college next September! big_smile

In other good news for me, I've been accepted as a stock photographer with a brand new and pretty awesome stock photography company, Stocksy United: http://www.stocksy.com/. My profile and photos are here: http://www.stocksy.com/profile/superdewa. I've been doing Getty Flickr for a few years, which has been wonderful, but I'm excited to be taking it a step further.

If you are a designer or otherwise work with stock photographs, please check Stocksy United out -- beautiful photos, good prices, a very nice-looking website, and an excellent business model.

This is sad but if it weren't for a horrible tragedy, this photo of mine would not have appeared in the Arizona Republic (our local newspaper) last Sunday. These are photos of the Shrine of St. Joseph of the Mountains in Yarnell, AZ, which had a tragic wildfire last week where 19 heroic firefighters were killed and the town was half destroyed. The shrine has sustained quite a bit of damage also as it was in an area that was heavily burned. Anyway, the paper asked for photos for a tribute section.

And yesterday, on azcentral.com's Facebook page (which is the online equivalent of the paper), they used this photo of a Harris' Hawk in my front yard as their banner:

Congratulations Candice... And I must say, that Harris Hawk photo is wonderful.
